About the Media Specialist

For years we have been reading books about heroes whether fictional or real. Because everyday heroes surround us, we at PCES, we are celebrating all types of heroes. Heroes, both ordinary and extraordinary can be inspiring to us.

For example, the soldier who visited our school before deploying to Afghanistan or the Veterans who came to share information about the importance of our flag are all heroes.  And let’s not forget the heroes here at PCES who keep our school in excellent condition, who serve our meals, who show leadership and who teach our students. Each and everyone is a hero.

And last but not least, the heroes who save the day by volunteering their time here at school, who get their kids off to school with a good breakfast and who read to their children at night…YOU! The parents of PCES students, we salute you! Our heroes!

In our library, students can find countless titles in which the hero saves the day. My goal is to let them know that “Reading Saves the Day!” Reading has and always will be the best way to become a better, stronger reader. Strong reading skills are the pathway to succeed in school and in life. Reading IS the most important skill of all!

READ ON SUPER HEROES!
